Fall 2019

Important news! On October 16, we will have a guest speaker – Dr. Charles Conley, Professor at University of North Texas, will speak on “Dissecting Polygons”.

The math circle meetings for Fall 2019 will be from 7 pm to 8:30 pm (or later) in PKH 302. Please note the room change! The tentative schedule of the meetings this semester is as follows: 9/4, 9/18, 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 11/13, 12/4.

As usual, our math circle is intended for high-school and advanced middle-school students. Teachers and college students are welcome to the meetings as well.

If you plan to come to our math circle and do not know where to park, a good option is to park at the Garage right next to PKH. Maps of the campus can be downloaded at https://www.uta.edu/maps/

Congratulations to Luke Robitaille for his latest accomplishment – Luke won a gold medal at the IMO 2019 in Bath, United Kingdom! Congratulations to team USA for ranking first (tied with China) at the IMO.
