Spring 2019

The first math circle meeting for Spring 2019 will be on January 30 (Wednesday) from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in PKH 311. The tentative schedule of the meetings is as follows: 1/30, 2/13, 2/27, 3/20, 4/10, 4/24.

As usual, our math circle is intended for high-school and advanced middle-school students. Teachers and college students are welcome to the meetings as well.

If you plan to come to our math circle and do not know where to park, a good option is to park at the Garage right next to PKH. Maps of the campus can be downloaded at http://www.uta.edu/maps/pdf

Congratulations to Luke Robitaille for his latest accomplishment – Luke won the 2019 “Who Wants to be a Mathematician” championship in Baltimore. A short version of the final round of the championship can be watched at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PevqEMqV2g  and an interview with Luke is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMrqiXuDUpg

Many thanks to Luke for identifying Mid-Cities Math Circle as the organization to receive the grand prize matching funds from the American Mathematical Society.
